suggest /advise /request/ require辨析

1. suggest

1) suggest sth. 建议某事 suggest doing sth.

2) suggest that 虚拟语气（should do）

I suggest that you (should) think over your position very carefully.

3) suggest sb/sb’s doing sth.

2. advise

1) advise doing sth. 建议做某事 advise sb.(not)to do sth. 建议某人（不）做某事

【注意】advise后面不能接to do 而是advise doing/sb. to do.

【正】He advised leaving early. 他建议早点出发。

【正】He advised us to leave early. 他建议我们早点出发。

对比

【误】He advised to leave early.

【正】We were advised to leave early. （被动语态）

He advised taking action right away.

1) require to do和require doing 的区别

require to do 要求做 require doing = require to be done 需要做

2) require sb. to do sth 要求某人做某事

He requires to repair the roof.

The roof requires repairing.

The roof requires a worker to repair. 屋顶需要找工人修理了。
