There is a forest near the river and lots of animals live there.

一天，老虎声称它生病了。

He stays at its den all day long.

它整天呆在它的窝里。

The animals in the forest hear about this.

森林里的动物听说了这件事。

They all go to see the big tiger.

它们都去看望这只大老虎。

However the tiger is not sick at all.

然而，他根本没有生病。

And the tiger eats them all.

这只大老虎把它们都吃了。

The fox goes to see the tiger too.

狐狸也去看望老虎。

It comes to the door of the den.

它来到老虎洞的门口。

Suddenly it finds that there are only the animals’ footprints left by them when they go in but not the ones when they come out!

突然发现只有那些动物进去的脚印，而没有出来的脚印！

It understands all the things about these animals at once.

它一下子就明白了这些动物的所有的遭遇。

The clever fox walks quietly away without a backward glance.

这只聪明的狐狸头也不回悄悄地走开了。

The tiger has not seen the fox again.

老虎再也没有见过狐狸。

A Clever Fox

一天，老虎声称它生病了。它整天呆在它的窝里。森林里的动物听说了这件事。它们都去看望这只大老虎。然而，他根本没有生病。这只大老虎把它们都吃了。
