指示代词是用来指代或标记人或事物的代词，表示“这个/些”“那个/些”。常用的指示代词有this，that， these， those。this，that指代单数; these. those指代复数。
指示代词的用法- 指示代词his， these往往指在时间或空间上较近的人或物; that those则指在时间或空间上较远的人或物。

- that既可以指代不可数名词，也可指代可数名词的单数。指代可数名词单数时等同于 the one; those只能指代可数名词复数，此时等同于the ones。

This computer works faster than that(=the one) you just bough.

- those作定语从句的先行词
在those who/which…或those people who…， those things which/that.向型中，who/ which引导的定语从句说明those的范围，此时those不可换为 these。
