However this didn't stop her from grinning as she made her way around a supermarket while shopping in preparation for New York City's major snowstorm.
The star did smile in public frequently while she was a Spice Girl but in recent years has preferred to pout for the camera and almost never grins in public.
She has spoken of this before telling Vogue she never smiles because she feels she has "a responsibility to the fashion community".

"When I was a kid I was with my dad and my two brothers. Growing up I was treated as the favorite because I was the only girl " Jackson 18 told Harper's Bazaar for the April cover story. "I was the princess; I was perfect in my dad’s eyes."
Jackson was 11 when she and her brothers Prince Michael I and Prince Michael II also known as Blanket lost their father in 2009.

Emma Watson is taking legal action after dozens of private images of her appeared online.
A spokesman for the Beauty and the Beast star confirmed the pictures - which show her trying on various outfits - were stolen.
"Photos from a clothes fitting Emma had with a stylist a couple of years ago have been stolen " her publicist said.
"They are not nude photographs. Lawyers have been instructed and we are not commenting further."
