“山风”来袭
一个艺术群落的十年“任性”
令艺术界瞩目的“嵩山艺术群落十周年文献展”即由今日美术馆呈现。这个被称为“嵩山十年大展”的艺术文献展全面、系统展示“嵩山艺术群落”十年以来的创作实践、艺术杰作及社区群落的艺术生态。
在今天的艺术现场中，“嵩山艺术群落”是一个不可忽视的存在。他们的艺术经历贯通于当代艺术发展的巅峰与低谷，并且始终保持着令人尊敬的“精进”“求道”“独往”等特色。因此，他们发展出“以艺术证道”的鲜明艺术特色，具有迥异的精神特征，在十年的坚忍历程中，这一点已为艺术界所逐渐认知。
嵩山艺术群落同时还是“艺术人类学”在当代的一个典型标本，引得诸多的学界人士前往亲历并探访。令外界难以置信地是，这样一个小型的艺术社区居然可以在时代环境巨变的今天“存活”下来，不得不说是一个奇迹。从某种意义来说，他们是时代的“殉道者”，但同时也是“幸存者”。
当一个艺术群落坚持十年时，便意味着它获得了自己的独特生命，也应该拥有它自己的合法地位。它经历了多重的审视、怀疑、挤压和各种风波之后，变得更加坚定、健康、充满活力和自信。这说明了艺术存在的价值与途径又多了一条不妥协的道路，这正是嵩山艺术群落长期以来所默默坚守的。
“嵩山艺术群落十周年文献展”正是这样一个开花散叶、结果丰收之作。本次展览有幸邀请到胡赳赳先生出任策展人，以及汪民安先生担任学术主持。二位人士在艺术方面的见解和理念，是嵩山艺术群落深深引以为同道的信者。
策展人胡赳赳先生说：“嵩山艺术群落，在当代艺术的现场显得独特而别具风景，他们选择的是‘第三条道路’，既不在‘学院’的围墙当中，也不在社会化的‘江湖’当中。有别于‘学院’和‘江湖’，是否真的有个去处可以落实呢？”他最后认为：“这个答案在‘嵩山艺术群落’长达十年的艺术实践中得到了启示：第三条道路是最接近形而上的，纯粹的，乌托邦的，通天塔式样的。”
胡赳赳总结说：“十年是一个历史节点，从‘山风’中吹来消息。十年也可以考察到一个群落的生命力，可以验证这种艺术聚集区的有效性。事实证明，嵩山艺术群落经过十年的发展，一批跟随一了身后的成员，他们的艺术之路确立了信心，并且产生了一批重要的艺术家及其作品。”
学术主持汪民安则表示：“我觉得一了和他在嵩山上的同伴的生活方式，再一次将生活还原为艺术作品本身。他们的这种生活也是一种创造，也留下了痕迹，也有自己特殊的形式和风格，也就是说，也是一个作品——生活本身创造出一种特殊的美的风格形式：他们远离都市，共同生活，自由书写和绘画，自给自足，来去自由——我相信没有权力和律法盘踞在这个自主的空间内。”
这极大的激起了汪民安的研究兴趣，他说：“这开拓了另一种生活方式的可能：今天的人们的生活基本上是被动的，被引导被强制被主宰被制度化，今天的生活基本上是随波逐流的生活，因此，根本无法建立自己的形式感和风格。对今天的人来说，发明一种属于自己的生活，自己能够主宰自己的生活，一种针对大众的偏离和逃逸的生活，毫无疑问是充满勇气的抉择。”
“嵩山艺术群落”的发起人和灵魂性人物艺术家一了认为：“身居禅宗祖源地的嵩山，禅宗的气脉心法自然成为我们生活与艺术的灯塔，时时警醒与反省，让我们心灯常明，有一个诚挚纯然的心，一切如风行水上，自然成纹。”
一了遵循的理念是“艺术就是人类的本能，六祖有言:离假即心真。当下，是一个垃圾纷呈的时代，吃的喝的吸的看的听的……无不虚假要命，艺术品个个装模作样精打细算的金玉其外败絮其中，很难看见质朴真率、吐露心灵的字画，就像嵩山里的土豆野菜石头泉水一样的一身活气。”
故此，一了长期坚持“师造化”：“来于造化，归于造化，让心灵如同嵩山的一片云、一阵风，无执无碍，自在自为的活在自己内心的喜爱里，这比什么都重要，先器识而后文艺，活的真像一个人了，艺术才成为可能。”
在嵩山，一了因人施教，不拘礼法，开启每个人独立自由的艺术天性。嵩山艺术群落所有艺术家共同从母语出发，浸淫于浩瀚的原生艺术海洋里吸纳灵气，古今中西、溶于一炉，滋生出原生且极具生命活力的当代绘画与新的书写艺术。由于他们有智有趣、独特气质的生活方式与超越时风、野蛮生长的朴灿艺术，在物欲横流的当下犹具魅力，因其不同于体制、学院派与流行的当代艺术，故此在艺术界引起广泛关注，被艺术界、学术媒体誉为“嵩山现象”。
嵩山艺术群落的所有群展，向来都以“山风”作为主题。“山风展”是著名当代艺术家一了先生发起，每年都为优秀的参学者于全国各地美术馆、博物馆、画廊等举办的展览。目的在于从母语出发，开创本土艺术的现代性道路。他自2011年于嵩山太室山下建立十方道场以来，目前已于北京、上海、广东、福建、山东、 山西、甘肃丶河南、云南、三亚等多地举办了共45回，并出版画册与专集数本。并被国内学术杂志《画刊》、《东方艺术》、《南方周末》等媒体广泛报道。经历十年的变幻，山风依然吹来艺术的消息。

本次展览于2021年12月17日下午四点开幕，展览持续到12月26日。“嵩山艺术群落十周年文献展”在今日美术馆3号馆呈现。展览一层展出艺术家们各自的代表作品，突出嵩山艺术群落艺术家们各自的独特性，内容以书法和绘画为主。二层则以文献为特色，以嵩山十年编年史为脉络，穿插历届山风展海报、出版物、实物、图片以及影像，让观众能够直观、清晰的了解嵩山艺术群落全体艺术家们住山十年的真实状态。观赏他们是如何实践“艺术即生活、生活即艺术”的理念。展览共计展出艺术家们油画、水墨、书法、篆刻、陶艺、影像等200余件作品。
此次参展的代表艺术家有：一了、张宝全、宋供应、魏墨、吴村人、李洁、刘军胜、刘赞、李晓燕、陈加斌、武拙园、陈颖、石海、道三、张子山、张妍、憨厚、余廷洋、安义勋、郭东。
"Mountain Wind" Hits:
A Decade of "Waywardness" in an Art Community
The 10th Anniversary Document Exhibition of Mt. Song Art Community was presented by the Today Art Museum attracted the attention of the whole art world. This art literature exhibition known as the "Ten Years of Mt. Song Exhibition" comprehensively and systematically showcases the creative practice artistic masterpieces as well as the artistic ecology of the community over the past ten years.
In today's art scene "Mt. Song Art Community" is a unignorable existence. Their artistic experience is connected to the peak and low point of the development of contemporary art in China. And has always maintained the respectable characteristics of "refining" "seeking" "uniqueness". Therefore they have developed the distinctive artistic characteristics of "art evidence" with very different spiritual characteristics in the ten years of perseverance this has been gradually recognized by the art world.
Mt. Song Art Community is also a typical specimen of "art anthropology" in contemporary times which has attracted many scholars to visit and live in the scene. Incredibly it is a miracle that such a small art community could "survive" today when the environment changed dramatically. In a sense they are the "martyrs" of the times but they are also "survivors".
When an art community persists for ten years it means that it has acquired its own unique life and should have its own legal status. The community has become more determined healthy energetic and confident after multiple reviews doubts squeezes and storms. This shows that the value and pathway of a certain artistic existence has living an uncompromising road which is what Mt.Song art community has been quietly adhered to for a long time.
"The 10th Anniversary Document Exhibition of Mt.Song Art Community" is a result of the flowering tree ready for the harvest . The exhibition was fortunate enough to invite Mr. Hu Jiujiu to serve as curator and Mr. Wang Min'an to serve as academic chair. The two people's unique perspectives and ideas in the field of art share the same believe with the Mt.Song art community.
Curator Mr. Hu Jiujiu said "The Mt.Song Art Community appears as an unique scenery in the contemporary art domaine. These artists have chosen the 'third way' neither in the “academia” in the ivory towers behind the thick walls nor in the socialized "art world”. Besides academia and the conventional art business world is there really a good place to go to implement art? Hu concluded: "This answer has been revealed I n the ten-year artistic practice of the Mt.Song Art Community: the third road is the closest to the form of metaphysics a pure utopian and babel-like style."
"Ten years is a historical node bringing constant movements from the 'mountain wind' " Hu concluded. Ten years can also examine the vitality of a community. And it has proven the effectiveness of this art gathering area. As it turns out after ten years of development a group of members followed Yiliao have established confidence in their artistic paths and produced a number of important artists and artworks. ”
Academic Chair of this exhibition Wang Min'an said: "I feel that once again with the way of life of his companions in Mt.Song life will be restored to the works of art itself." Their lives are also considered as a kind of creation which also left traces in its own unique form and style.That is the lifestyle itself is also a piece of artwork - life itself created a special form of aesthetic style: they are far away from the city living together enjoying the freedom to write and paint being self-sufficient come and go as they like - I believe that there is no power and law in this autonomous space. ”
This greatly aroused Wang Min'an's interest in this research field. Wang said: "This opens up the possibility of another way of life: nowadays people's lives are basically passive being guided/forced/dominated/institutionalized. Today's life is life in a flow therefore it is impossible to establish their own sense of form and style." For today's people the community is trying to establish an invention of owning one’s life. People then can dominate their own life fight against the public deviation and find an escape of daiy life. There is no doubt that the choice is full of courage. ”
The founder and soul character of Mt.Song Art Community artsist Yiliao think: "Living in the ancestral home of Zen Mount Song Zen's Chi and pulse method naturally become a beacon of our daiy life and art life. We should always be alert and reflective let our hearts be filled with light have a sincere and pure heart. And everything like water in the wind following natural patterns."
Yiliao follows the idea "Art is the human instinct. Liu Zu has a saying: staying away from false is being true to one’s heart." At present as a garbage-sniffing era what we eat drink see the listen are all fake to death. Works of art pretend to be a fine-making gold in their appearance but fail inside and are actually rotten. It is difficult to see artworks of the rustic truth paintings revealing the soul lively like Mt. Song’s potatoes wild vegetables the mountains stone spring water/
Therefore Yiliao demonstrate a long-term adherence to the “learning from the nature": "from the nature to the nature so that the mind like a cloud in Mt. Song a gust of wind with no obstacles. People are self-indulgent to some extent living in their own inner passion which is more important than anything else. The first to understand and then one can write and practice art. Art is only possible when one lives as a person. ”
In Mt. Song Yiliao teaches students based on their own expertises and do not convention rules opening up everyone's independent and free artistic nature. All the artists of Mt. Song Art Community starting from their mother tongue immersed in the vast ocean of original art and absorb aura of ancient and modern China art as well the West art dissolved in a furnace. This has bred a new writing art of originality and vitality as well as new contemporary painting. They have their own intellectual interests as well as living in an unique temperament of the way of life of simplicy which is different from in the materialistic flow of the present. This is different from the current system academia and contemporary art. So the community has been in the eye of the art world. And has been reported by the academic media as the "Mt. Song phenomenon."
All the group exhibitions in Mt. Song Art Community have always been using "mountain wind" as the theme. "Mountain Wind Exhibition" has been initiated by the well-known contemporary artist Yiliao annually for outstanding scholars in art galleries museums galleries and other exhibitions held throughout the country. The aim is to start from the mother tongue and create a modern path of local art. Since his establishment of the Ten-Way Dojo In 2011 at Mt. Taishi in Mt. Song he has held 45 times activities in Beijing Shanghai Guangdong Fujian Shandong Shanxi Gansu Henan Yunnan Sanya and other places. And he also published several albums and special collections. And local academic magazine "Painting" "Oriental Art" "Southern Weekend" and other medias widely reported his works. After ten years of change the mountain wind still blows the news of art.
The exhibition opens at 4 p.m. on December 17 2021 and runs until December 26 2021. The 10th Anniversary Document Exhibition of Mt. Song Art Community is presented in Hall 3 of the Today Art Museum. The exhibition presents the artists' respective representative works on the first floor highlighting the uniqueness of the artists of Mt. Song Art Community which focuses on calligraphy and painting. The second floor is characterized by literature with the ten-year chronicle of Mt. Song as the vein. It is interspersed with posters publications objects pictures and images of previous mountain wind exhibitions so that the audience can clearly and intuitively understand the real state of all artists living in Mt. Song art community for ten years and learn how these artists practice the concept of "art is life life is art".
The exhibition features more than 200 works by Mt. Song artists including works of oil painting ink calligraphy engraving pottery and video. The representative artists of this exhibition are: Yiliao Zhang Baoquan Song Gongying Wei Mo Wu Cunren Li Jie Liu Junsheng Liu Zan Li Xiaoyan Chen Jiabin Wu Zhuoyuan Chen Ying Shi Hai Dao San Zhang Zishan Zhang Yan Han Hou Yu Tingyang An Yixun Guo Dong.
