新概念英语第二册重点要背的课（新概念英语第二册教学实践与经验总结）Nothing should be written before it has been read.Nothing should be read before it has been spoken.当然，除了“英语听说”之外，英语的基本技能还有阅读与写作，这些同样需要我们Practice Only practice more can we make more progress (只有经过大量的训练，我们才有可能取得进步）。我在给学员教学《新概念英语》的过程中，严格遵循被实践也已证明是最佳的课堂教学法：听过的再说，说过的再读，读过的再写！Nothing should be spoken before it has been heard.
《新概念英语》教材一共4册，在学习完第一册英语初阶（First Things First）之后，就可以进入第二册的实践与进步（Practice & Progress ）学习了。
Lesson 5 Book 2 New Concept English
如果说第一册是打基础的话，那么第二册学习就已经进行开始大量的阅读理解和听力理解，在积累词汇，完善语法的基础上，有目的地进行句子和短文训练，而训练的方法是先模仿，再“创造”！
要知道：英语是一种用来交流的语言工具，而不是什么深奥的“知识”。我们学习英语就应该从一开始重视“听说”或“听力理解”，强调“英语听说”在学习中的“引领作用”！
当然，除了“英语听说”之外，英语的基本技能还有阅读与写作，这些同样需要我们Practice Only practice more can we make more progress (只有经过大量的训练，我们才有可能取得进步）。
我在给学员教学《新概念英语》的过程中，严格遵循被实践也已证明是最佳的课堂教学法：听过的再说，说过的再读，读过的再写！
Nothing should be spoken before it has been heard.

Nothing should be written before it has been read.
这就道出了学习英语的顺序：听 说 读 写
1、英语听说 （听录音，跟读课文）
No wrong numbers.
Mr.James scott has a garage I Silbury and he has just bought another garage in Pinhurst. Pinhurst is only five miles from Sibury but Mr.Scott cannot get a telephone for his new garage so he has to just bought twelve pigeons. Yesterday a pigeon carried the first message from Pinhurst to Silbury. The bird covered the distance in three minutes. Up to now Mr. Scott has sent a great many requests for spare parts and other urgent messages form one garage to the other. In this way he has bgun his own private “Telephone” Service.
2、阅读理解（记句子，重视应用）
● Mr.Scott hasn’t got a telephone in his new garage because he can’t get one.
● Mr.Scott keeps pigeons because he uses them to send messages.
● On the way from Athens to London the plane stepped at Rome.
● I cook this meal in this way you showed me
● By the way where is my coat?
● Yes in a way he has been very successful.
● Children get in the way during the holiday.

This dove was resident with us all the year round.

用作名词 (n.)
The front cover of the novel has been torn off.这本小说的封面已被撕掉。
I can't make the cover of the tin fit on.我无法把这罐头的盖子盖上。
The car should be housed with a cover for a longer time's parking. 长时间的存放汽
车，应给汽车罩上套子。
Tooth-colored porcelain will cover the metal crowns. 金属表面覆盖和牙齿一样颜色地 瓷。
The collective trichome cover of a plant surface is called pubescence.植物表面聚集的 毛状物称为柔毛。
用作动词 (v.)
Snow covered the ground.积雪覆盖了大地。
The talks are expected to cover other topics too.会谈估计还会涉及别的问题。
The dictionary's articles cover a wide range of topics. 这本字典的文章包含各种各样 的话题。
We tried to find cover from the storm.我们想方设法寻找遮蔽暴风雨的地方。
Do not try to cover a mistake.不要试图掩盖错误。

A more appropriate stance would be for the leader to distance itself from the com-petitors.

Interestingly there are several reasons why it is so important to distance oneself from the rest. 有趣的是 一定要拉开和其他人的距离 背后有很多原因。

用作形容词 (adj.)
Do you have a spare tire? 你有备用轮胎吗?

What do you like doing in your spare time? 你在闲暇时喜欢做什么？
Can you bear me a hand tomorrow?I want to rearrange some things in our spare room.

5、英语写作（改课文，创新创作）
Mr.Scott has just opened a second garage in Pinhurst and his first one is in SIlbury which is about 5 miles from Pinhurst. Mr.Scott cannot get a telephone for his new garage so he has bought 12 pigeons to send the requests for spare part and other messages. The pigeons spend 3 min to cover the distances between two garages with the messages he needs.
根据课文问题，结合课文内容进行创新改写，逐步形成自己的写作习惯！
6、补充资料（Pigeon 传达信息）
Before telephone invented pigeons could be used to send messages which was old-fashioned but with the milk of human kindness and more reliable sometimes and its biggest advantage was that there were no such things as wrong numbers to irritate you .
在电话或其他通信工具发明之前，鸽子被由来传递信息。这种方法看起来有些老套，但是更具有人情味，有时候显得更为可靠。它的最大优点是不有诸如有拨错号之类的问题烦扰你！
《新概念英语》第二册第一课学习过后，如果我们能够按照这个方法去进行学结，那么我们的英语学习的四项基本技能：听、说、读、写，一定会在一个较短的时间内得到大幅度地提高。
