Holding My Hand 握住我的手

A little girl and her father went over bridge (桥).

一个小女孩和她的父亲过桥。

Father was worried about her . Consequently (因此) he said to his daughter:“ Holding my hand so you would not drop into the river (河).

父亲担心女儿，所以，他对他的女儿说：“握住我的手，这样你就不会落入河中了。”

"No dad you should hold my hand. " the little girl said to her father.

“不，爸爸，你应该握住我的手。”小女孩对她的父亲说。

"Is there any difference (不同)? " father asked with puzzle.

“这有什么区别吗？”父亲不解地问。

"There is a great difference in it ." the little girl responded (回答) to her father 。

“这有很大的不同。”小女孩回答她父亲。

"if I held your hand and something happened to me for instance I walked unsteadily and dropped down the river I might not be able to hold your hand and let it go.

“如果我握住你的手，事情发生在我身上的时候，比如说我走不稳要掉下河去，我可能就拉不住并放开你的手了。

However if you held my hand and no matter what happened you would not let me drop into the river."

但是，如果你握住我的手，不管发生什么事情，你都不会让我掉下去的。”
