一、包含不定式和动名词的一些固定结构

（1）too~to...... 太......以至于不能....

The room is too small to live. 译文：房间太小了以至于不能居住。

注意：too ~to ，表示否定，“太~而不能~”

（2）句型1enough n to V

句型2 adj enough to V

足够...... 可以......

There is enough food to eat.

译文：这里有足够的食物吃。 句子结构：enough food (n.) to eat (V.) ，句型1.

The box is big enough to contain six apples.

译文：这个箱子足够大可以装6个苹果。 句子结构：big（adj） enough to contain（装 V.） 句型2

（3）On — iV-ing：~ 一......就......

On seeing the snake ，the girl was very frightened.

译文：一看到蛇，这个女孩儿就非常害怕。 句子结构：On see ing ，~~~

On hearing the bad news，the boy was pretty sad.

译文：一听到这个坏消息，这个男孩儿相当伤心。 句子结构：On hear ing ，~~~

（4）There is no hope of V-ing : 没希望

There is no hope of seeing him.

译文：见他是没有希望了。句子结构：There is no hope of see （V）-ing

（5）feel like ~V-ing : 想要~

I feel like eating ice cream now.

译文：我现在想吃冰淇淋。句子结构：feel like eat （v.）-ing

（6）have a hard time ~V-ing : 做~艰难

They have a hard time solving the problem themselves.

译文：他们自己解决这个问题是艰难的。句子结构：have a hard time solve （v.）-ing
