Date是枣的统称，但单说date时，通常指medjool date-阿拉伯蜜枣，特指中国枣时可以用Chinese date或者jujube。

妈妈早上买了一包干枣。

A medjool date is darker sweeter and has a chewier texture than other dates.

阿拉伯蜜枣颜色更深、更甜，比其他枣更有嚼头。

Medjool读作 [ˈmedʒul]。

She will try to make the cake with Chinese red dates since they have a sweet flavor.

她试着往蛋糕里加中国红枣，因为它们有甜味。

(2) Jujube 中国的枣；一种糖果

读作 [ˈdʒudʒub]，结尾的e不发音。

This jujube is very crisp.

这个枣很脆。

I like yellow Jujubes better than purple ones.
