北京联合大学（Beijing Union University），是经中华人民共和国教育部批准成立的北京市属综合性大学，是北京市首批高水平运动队试点院校、北京市重点建设的应用型人才培养基地，国家级大学生创新创业训练计划实施高校，CDIO工程教育联盟成员单位。 学校前身是1978年北京市依靠清华大学、北京大学等创办的36所大学分校；1985年3月，北京联合大学成立；1985年5月，化学工程学院（原北京化工学院分院）、电气化铁道学院（原北方交通大学分校）、航天工程学院（原北京航空学院第三分院）并入北京联合大学。这就是北京联合大学建成初期的十五所分院；2001年1月，原北京化工局职工大学划转给北京联合大学，更名为北京联合大学成人教育部；2008年10月，北京化工学校和北京市医药器械学校并入北京联合大学；2009年7月，北京联合大学东方信息技术学院撤销。

Beijing Union University (BJU) is a comprehensive University under the jurisdiction of Beijing Municipality approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is one of the first universities to pilot high-level sports teams in Beijing a key applied talent training base under Beijing's municipal construction and a University implementing the national college student innovation and entrepreneurship training program. Member of CDIO Engineering Education Alliance. Its predecessor was 36 branch campuses established in 1978 by Beijing Municipality relying on Tsinghua University and Peking University. In March 1985 Beijing Union University was founded. In May 1985 the College of Chemical Engineering (formerly Beijing Institute of Chemical Technology Branch) the College of Electrified Railway (formerly North Jiaotong University Branch) and the College of Aerospace Engineering (formerly the Third Branch of Beijing Institute of Aeronautics) were merged into Beijing Union University. These are the fifteen branches of Beijing Union University in its initial period of establishment. In January 2001 the former Workers' University of Beijing Chemical Industry Bureau was transferred to Beijing Union University and renamed as Adult Education Department of Beijing Union University. In October 2008 Beijing School of Chemical Engineering and Beijing School of Medical Device merged into Beijing Union University. In July 2009 Orient Institute of Information Technology of Beijing Union University was cancelled.
