3.open school ≠ 开学

这也是一个“中式英语”。

“开学”，指“开启一个新的学期”；

“学期”的英语，可以用“semester”或“term”来表示。

所以，“开学”可以用“The new semester（term） starts(begins)”来表示。

I hope to welcome the new semester with them happily together.

我希望跟他们一起高高兴兴地迎接新学期。

此外，还可以用“a new semester kicks off”，来表示“开学”。

其中，“new semester”表示“新学期”；

“kick off”源于足球比赛中的中圈开球，延伸过来就是“开始”之意。

所以，“a new semester kicks off”也就是“新学期开始了、开学了”。

最后，“back to school”和“school opens”，都可以用来表示“开学”。
