惊蛰,是二十四节气中的第3个节气,这时的太阳到达黄经345°,天气转暖,雨水增多。今年的惊蛰从公历3月5日起,至19日结束。

Awakening of Insects Jingzhe (惊蛰) in Chinese is the third solar term and signals a rise in temperature and increased rainfall. It begins when the sun reaches the celestial longitude of 345 degrees happens on March 5th and ends on March 19th this year.

★ 饮食养生 What to eat

从中医五行来看,春天对应着人体的肝脏。惊蛰到来时,随着气候转暖、大地复苏,人体阳气开始升腾,阴气相对较弱,易肝阳上亢化为肝火,从而破坏脏腑间的平衡,导致肝脾不和。因此,所以惊蛰应继续在适当摄入酸性食物的同时,适量进食甘、淡的食物,通过食物的性味来帮助维持脏腑间的平衡。枇杷、梨、菠菜、生菜、茄子、菱角、黄瓜和香蕉都是不错的选择。而不易消化的食物如油炸食物,以及冷食和刺激性食物则应减少摄入。

As we introduced before Spring relates to Liver of our body in TCM theory During Awakening of Insects with the climate changing the Yang/Qi in human body is increasing and the Yin/Blood is relatively weak which is easy to have Liver fire and lead to disharmony among Liver and Spleen/stomach.Therefore it's good to keep the balance of Liver and Spleen via taking moderate sour and sweet food.Loquat pear spinach lettuce eggplant water chestnut cucumber and banana are all good choices.Meanwhile the diet should be light food hard to be digested like greasy oil(fried food) cold and stimulating ones should be avoided.

1.梨 Pears

在中国,人们讲究在惊蛰前后吃梨。因为惊蛰后天暖风盛,空气干燥,人们常会感到口干舌燥,易生感冒、咳嗽。梨甜多汁性清凉,有润肺止咳之功,故惊蛰食梨有利健康。

Eating pears around the Awakening of Insects is a widely-practiced custom in China. As the weather gets warmer and the air becomes dry for increasing wind people tend to feel thirsty dry mouth and tongues and easy to get cold or cough. Pear is sweet juicy and easy to digest which can moisten the lungs to arrest a cough. Therefore pears are highly recommended during the Awakening of Insects.

2.桃花 Peach blossoms

桃花,不仅美丽可供欣赏怡情,亦可作为舌尖上的美食。同时,桃花也是一味中药,具有美容防病的效果。早在药学专著《神农本草经》中就提到过桃花可以“杀小虫…令人好颜色”,可以用于预防感冒、治疗黄褐斑、黑斑、面色暗沉等面部色素性疾病。

Peach blossoms can not only be appreciated but also be tasted. Actually it is a kind of Chinese herbal. As mentioned as early as in the pharmacy monograph Shen Nong's Materia Medica that it has the effects of keeping people away from pathogen and improve one’s look. Therefore Peach blossoms can be used to prevent cold or influenza and treat facial pigmentary diseases such as melasma dark spots and dull complexion.

3.花茶Flower tea

养肝明目,疏肝解郁。

Nourish liver and improve visibility soothe the mood.

[食谱][Recipe]

绿茶、桃花、玫瑰花或菊花。

Green tea peach blossoms rose flower or chrysanthemum Goji berry.

将1~2种花(每种3~6片) 6~9个枸杞与绿茶放入250毫升(1杯)沸水中,即饮。

Put 1-2 kinds of flowers (3-6 pieces each) and 6-9 Goji berry with green tea with 250ml(1 cup) boiling water.

1. 避风防感 Preventing the wind

惊蛰后风邪更盛,加之早晚温差较大,所以要特别注意避风寒、防感冒。体质较弱的人更需注意做好保暖,以防气管炎、肺炎、肾炎以及心肌炎等疾病的发生。

The weather is more windy after Awakening of Insects and the temperature difference between morning and evening people should pay attention to avoid wind evil to prevent diseases such as cold and flu tracheitis pneumonia nephritis and myocarditis especially for weak and sick people.

2.垂钓放松 Good time for fishing

惊蛰时分是钓鱼的好时机,冬眠的动物苏醒了,鱼儿也苏醒了,它们从深水区游到浅水区寻找食物,交配繁殖后代。钓鱼的好处不少,尤其是对生活在城市里的人来说,可以得到身心的充分放松。开车去郊外,在湖里钓鱼,沐浴在阳光里,欣赏鸟儿的歌唱,芬芳的花朵和摇曳的柳树,享受一个春天的完美周末吧。

Around the Awakening of Insects hibernating animals wake up and so do fishes. They swim from deep water to shallow water in search of food mate and reproduce which is a good time for fishing. Fishing can provide mental and physical relaxation especially for people living in the city. Driving to the suburbs fishing in a lake bathing in the sunlight enjoying the singing birds fragrant flowers and waving willows make for a perfect weekend in spring.

此外,春天也适合进行适度的运动,有利于阳气升发以及冬季寒邪的驱散。散步、快步走、体操、太极、瑜伽、放风筝都是不错的选择。

Besides Spring is suitable for moderate exercises which is conducive to the rise of yang qi and the dispelling of cold evil in winter. Walking brisk walking gymnastics Taichi yoga and flying a kite are all your good choices.

自我按摩 self-acupressure

春天易肝火上亢,而有生气、焦虑、紧张等情绪过激的表现,对此可以搭配两个穴位的日常按摩来加以改善。

As we introduced spring is prone to hyperactivity of the liver and overwhelming emotions such as anger anxiety tension etc. Here we recommend two acupoints for daily acupressure.

太冲(LR3) : 位于大脚趾与第二趾骨之间,是肝经的起点和输注点,可以调理肝气,舒缓不良情绪。

Taichong (LR3): located between the big toe and the second toe bone is the original and infusion point of the Liver Meridian which can obviously regulate the liver and relieve the bad emotions.

阳陵泉(GB34) : 位于腓骨头下凹陷的膝外侧。它是胆经和八脉相交处的腧穴,可刺激血液循环,放松肌肉和关节。

Yanglingquan(GB34): located in the depression under the fibula head on the outside of the knee. It is the acupuncture point of the gallbladder meridian and the tendon in the eight-pulse intersection which can also help you stimulate the circulation of the blood and relax the muscles and joints.

每天按摩两穴10分钟,并搭配冥想等方式,有助于提高免疫力。

You can massage for 10 minutes each day with meditation or other means to help soothe your mood.
