1. I realize.

用于有点严肃的场合。

ex. 朋友在跟你分享他们最近经济困顿的经历，you can say :

I realize that it’s hard for you.

I understood suddenly.

ex. I realized that I had met her before.

啊 我以前见过她。

2. I managed to grasp.

用于理解较困难的概念。

ex. It was a very high-level talk but I managed to grasp the main points.

这是一次很高阶的谈话，我设法去掌握要点。

3. Get the gist of it.

得到它的重点。

ex. I don’t need to understand the detail of the lecture and I just get the gist of it.

我不用知道这场讲座的演讲细节，只要知道它的重点就好。

4. Make sense of (something)

去了解一些不清楚或複杂的事。

ex. I read the paragraph three times but I just can’t make sense of it can you explain it to me?

我读了这段落三次，但我还是不懂，你能解释给我听吗？

5. I appreciate that…

类似 I realize that…，指的是我了解.理解这个决定的原因。

ex. I appreciate that it’s a hard decision for you.

我知道这对你来说是一个很困难的决定。

6. Comprehend 理解

比较正式的说法。

ex. The country has failed to comprehend the threat.

这国家不知道这一威胁。

7. Get it.

比较简单.不正式的说法。

ex. Why is everyone going crazy about him I don’t get it!

我不懂～为什么每个人都对他疯狂！

8. I get the message.

用于瞭解了隐藏或间接的讯息。

ex. 当你老公说了要跟同事吃饭谈公事，而且一再强调这是正式的晚餐（所以他不希望你去），you can say :

Oh I get the message.

9. I get the picture.

了解了这糟糕的情况。

Ex. This person is quite forgetful and he’s not the most organized person.

you can say : Oh! I get the picture.
