我对柳树有两重赞美

一是春天苏醒前

一穷二白的枝条悄悄柔软

一是秋风消磨掉最后一片叶子

枯枝如母亲的白发

大地上的事情

除了疼，就是活着

而四面八方的风，从未停歇

Things on Earth

Two nods to the weeping willow:

One: as spring approaches

its pale starveling branches quietly turn supple.

Another one: in late autumn after the last leaf frayed in the wind

its dry twiglets look like Mother's white hair.

Things on earth

other than pains to endure there is living to do

whilst the haphazard wind keeps blowing.
