In this lesson I'm gonna teach you bathroom vocabulary.

这堂课 我要教你一些关于浴室的词汇

Now this is called a toilet.

这个叫马桶

and here we have a toilet seat

这个是马桶便座

and this is the toilet lid.

这个是马桶盖

So usually when I'm over at someone's house like if I'm visiting them

通常 我在别人家做客时

It's a polite thing to close the lid.

盖上马桶盖是一种比较礼貌的行为

Like I always after I'm finished using the bathroom I close the lid.

通常 我用完卫生间后 我都会将马桶盖盖上

Now obviously it's if you're a man it's good to lift up the seat when you go pee.

显然 如果你是男的 在小便时 最好将马桶便座掀起来

So you'll hear a mother maybe a mother will tell her son

所以 可能你会听到一个妈妈对儿子说

Did you remember to lift up the seat?

你小便的时候有记得把马桶便座嵌上去吗

and then after he's finished in our culture you should put the seat back down.

当你上完厕所后 在我们的文化认知里 我们会把坐便再归回原处

but like I said if I'm over at someone else's house I put the seat down and I also put the lid down.

就像我之前说的 如果我去到别人家的话 我会把坐便和马桶盖都盖上

Maybe that's just me I'm not sure.

So when you're finished using the bathroom you need to flush.

当你用完洗手间后 你需要冲水

And after you flush you're going to wash your hands

冲好水后 你需要洗手

so you go to the sink to wash your hands.

你就会到水槽里去洗手

Now this is called a tap.

这个叫水龙头

So to wash your hands you turn on the tap

洗手的时候 你会打开水龙头

and then after you're finished washing your hands you turn off the tap.

洗完手之后 你需要关上水龙头

Now this is a bathtub.

这是个浴缸

If you want to take a bath you could sit in the bathtub.

如果你想洗澡 你就可以坐在这个浴缸里

And this is called a shower.

这个叫花洒

Personally I always take showers.

Sometimes I take baths.

In Canada mostly in people's homes

they have a bathtub and in the shower sort of on top

so like in my apartment.

I could take baths but I never do.

我可以用浴缸洗澡 但是我从来不那么做

I take them really really rarely or occasionally.

我真的极少使用浴缸 偶尔会用一下

Maybe I'll take like two baths a year mostly I just take showers.

我可能一年用两次浴缸吧 大部分时间都还是用花洒

So this is called a shower curtain.

这叫做浴帘

You pull the shower curtain closed before you take a shower

在洗澡前 你会拉上浴帘

so that water doesn't spread out over your whole bathroom.

这样 水就不会弄湿你整个浴室了

Now when you take a shower you're probably going to use some product for your hair.

在你洗澡的时候 你可能会用一些护发用品

Like you could use shampoo or you could use conditioner.

你可以用洗发露或护发素

To be honest I don't really even know what conditioner is

说实话 我不太知道护发素是什么

but most women I think use conditioner.

但是大多数女人都会用护发素

I just use shampoo.

So like I don't even know if men use conditioner

Maybe some men use conditioner

but like I said

I don't really know what it's for I just use shampoo.

And then what for the body for washing your body you could use soap or body wash.

至于身体 你可以使用肥皂或沐浴露

Now this is called a drain.

这个叫排水沟

So if you want take a bath you need to plug the drain.

如果你是用浴缸洗澡的话 你就需要塞住这个排水沟

So you take the plug the rubber plug and you plug it

你可以拿个橡胶塞 堵住这里

and then you fill up the bathtub and you take a bath.

将浴缸填满水 你就可以开始洗澡了

And then when you're finished taking a bath you unplug the drain and let the water drain down.

当你洗完后 拔掉堵住排水沟的塞子 让水排走

So "drain" can be a noun or a verb.

所以 drain这个单词可以做名词 也可以做动词

This thing is called the drain

这个叫排水沟（做名词）

but also when water goes down there it's called draining the water.

当水在流出去时 它就叫排水（做动词）

Now when you're finished taking a bath you're gonna dry yourself off using a bath towel.

洗完澡后 你要用浴巾把自己擦干

And when you finished washing your hands

当你洗完手后

you're gonna dry your hands off using a smaller towel called "a hand towel".

你会用擦手巾将手擦干

These things that you use to clean your ears they're called Q-tips.

这个用来清洁耳朵的东西叫做棉签

Personally I always Q-tip my ears after I shower.

我个人的话 会习惯在洗澡后清理下我的耳朵

Also when you're in the bathroom you'll probably shave.

You can shave with a shaver.

你可以用剃须刀刮胡子

This can be called a shaver or a razor.

这个可以用shaver或razor来称呼

And if you shave you're probably going to use shaving cream.

如果你刮胡子 可能会用到剃须膏

Unless you use an electric shaver

除非你用的是电动剃须刀

Then you don't use shaving cream you just turn it on...

那你就不需要剃须膏 你只需要将电动剃须刀开关打开

and you shave.

你就可以开始刮胡子了
