What are the differences between a big company and a small company? (Long answer; compare and contrast question.)
Example answer:
Hmm well I’d have to say the largest dissimilarity is that large companies tend to be national or international whereas small companies tend to be locally based and serve the local market. I guess second would have to be the sheer amount of employees as large companies probably have thousands if not tens of thousands of staff while small companies may have just fifty or a hundred.
Are there any big companies in your hometown? (Short answer; Verb tense question.)
Example answer:
Haha no absolutely not. My hometown is very small and there are only very local businesses there such as shops.
What are the advantages of working in a big company? (Long answer; Opinion question.)
Example answer:
Well I’m not too sure. I’m just a student so my experience is limited. I imagine however that one of the advantages of working for a large company rather than a small company is the training. From what I hear large companies tend to provide far more training to their staff than small companies but like I said I’m really not sure.
Is it difficult to get a promotion in a large company? (Long answer; Opinion question.)
Example answer:
Well like I said my experience is very limited and I have no work experience but since in a large company there must be many more employees than in a small company so even though there are probably more opportunities the competition is probably quite fierce so I think you would need to be pretty outstanding to get a promotion.
How about you do you want to work for a large company or corporation? (Long answer; Future-hypothetical question.)
Example answer:
Hmm no not really. I think a mid-sized company would be better…for one thing you can probably make better friends at a mid-sized company and for another I think people in large corporations like in the headquarters of some multinational company are like sharks I mean very competitive. So I’d have to say ‘no’ I would not want to.
