What's up people! Welcome to today’s session of Ten Minute Speaking and I’m Lije.
Today we are going to discuss the topic of global warming. Global warming has long been a heated debate topic and a lot of people argue that it is the human activities that caused the greenhouse effect which in turn changed the global climate. So this leads to today’s question: What can we do to stop the greenhouse effect?

问题：What can we do to stop the greenhouse effect?
Honestly at the current stage there is very little that we can do to stop the greenhouse effect. I mean it simply comes down to two things. We either stop the carbon dioxide emission at its source or we Convert the carbon dioxide into other gases. The first method isn’t viable because as long as we still burn fossil fuels carbon dioxide will be emitted and we use fossil fuel on such a huge scale that it’s impossible to just discontinue using them overnight. On the other hand we could try planting more trees so that they can turn the CO2 into oxygen but the amount of forestation required to stop the greenhouse effect is just way too high. So in short based on our current technology there is not much that we can do to stop the greenhouse effect.
