露西·莫德·蒙格玛利（Lucy Maud Montgomery，1874—1942），加拿大女作家。蒙格玛利从小就表现出极高的文学天赋，她16岁时创作的小说被刊登在当地一家报纸的头版，广受好评。《绿山墙的安妮》创作于1904年，1908年出版，很快就成为当年的畅销书并风靡全球。
蒙格玛利嫁为人妇的时候，已经是颇有名望的作家了。她的创作秘诀出自每日琐碎的家务，在她的围裙口袋里总是有一个小本本，灵感乍现，立刻记录。在一次浏览小本本的时候，她发现了这样一条消息引发了她的创作灵感：“一对年迈的夫妇向孤儿院申请领养一个男孩，阴差阳错，一个女孩被送了过来”。正是从这只言片语中，蒙格玛利整合出了她的第一本小说，并于1908年出版为《绿山墙的安妮》。
