The Fisherman Piping
吹箫的渔夫
A fisherman skilled in music and took his flute(笛子) and his nets to the seashore(海边).
有一个懂音乐的渔夫，带着他的笛子和渔网来到了海边。
Standing on a projecting(突出的) rock he played several tunes in the hope that the fish attracted by his melody would of their own accord dance into his net which he had placed below.
他站在一块凸出的岩石上，吹起箫来，心想鱼听到这美妙音乐鱼能自己跳进他下面设好的网中。
Finally he waited for a long time without any result.
最后，他等了好久都没有结果。
He laid aside his flute and pull his net out of the sea which yielded an excellent haul of fish.
他只好将箫放下，把网拉起来，结果捕到了许多鱼。
When he saw them leaping(跳) about in the net upon the rock he said: "Oh! You are the perverse creatures! When I piped you don’t dance but now that I have ceased you do so merrily."
当他看到鱼儿挨着岩石跳的时候，并对乱蹦乱跳的鱼说：“噢！你们这些不识好歹的东西！我吹箫时，你们不跳舞，现在我不吹了，你们倒跳了起来。”
