The Foreign Language Film category name has been changed to International Feature Film.
尽管名称变更，但是相应的规则、提交流程以及入选要求都没有变化。最佳国际电影应为：在美国以外制作的长篇电影，影片对话的主要语言为非英语。动画片和纪录片电影都是可以的。一个国家或地区只能选择一部电影进行选送。
The category name change does not change any existing category rules the submission process or eligibility requirements. An international feature film is defined as a feature-length motion picture produced outside the United States of America with a predominantly non-English dialogue track. Animated and documentary feature films are permitted. Only one film is accepted from each country (or region ) as the official selection.
此外，最佳国际电影的候选数目也扩展到了10部。最终提名名单将于2020年1月13日公布。
In addition the shortlist for the International Feature Film award is expanding to ten films. The final shortlist for the awards won’t be released until January 13.

而除了《哪吒之魔童降世》之外，中国香港选送了动作片《扫毒2天地对决》参评，中国台湾则选送了爱情喜剧片《谁先爱上他的》参加评选。三部华语电影将与韩国影片《寄生虫》、西班牙影片《痛苦与荣耀》、日本影片《天气之子》、英国影片《驭风男孩》、挪威影片《外出偷马》等激烈角逐。
