本课继续学习一般过去时的用法。与第67-72课相比，不同的是，本课侧重学习的是动词过去式的不规则变化。

此外，本课还出现了“形容词 ly”构成副词的用法。

（一）一般过去时

1、基本用法

一般过去时主要用来表示过去发生的事情，其基本用法为：

sb. did sth.

如：

She went to the museum last week.

2、动词的过去式

本课侧重学习动词的过去式的不规则变化。在不规则动词中，也有一定的规律，如：

1、i改为a

sing - sang

drink - drank

2、eep改为ept

sleep - slept

sweep - swept

3、ell改为old

tell - told

sell - sold

4、ay改为aid

say - said

pay - paid

【注意】

动词过去式的不规则变化，更多的是需要通过不断地巩固识记。如：

run - ran

wake - woke

shoot - shot

put - put

lie - lay

buy - bought

write - wrote

speak - spoke

see -saw

find - found

take - took

lose - lost

3、标志词

关于标志词，可参考第71-72课里的相关内容。

（二）“形容词 ly”

英语中后缀-ly经常加在形容词后面，用来构成副词。如：

slow - slowly

pleasant - pleasantly

sudden - suddenly

angry - angrily

quick - quickly

lazy - lazily
