Clough said “Motivation and inspiration are two very different forces in my work and are not mutually exclusive. Inspiration comes from finding new materials to use such as strange color palettes and conversations with good company and so on. Inspiration keeps me stitching through the times that I lack motivation and vice-versa.”
克劳夫说：“动机和灵感是我创作过程中的两种截然不同的力量，但却互为补充。灵感来自于寻找如奇妙的调色板等可以使用的新材料及与好朋友的对话等等。灵感可以让我在缺乏动力时坚持下去，反之亦然。”
