Err. This has nothing to do with acting – this is for real!

我不是说你在演戏，我相信你。“Get your act together” 的意思是 “有条理地做事，合理安排，仔细筹划”。换句话说，就是用更有效的方式将你的生活和工作安排得有条不紊。So Rob I'm saying sort your life out if you want to achieve more. Here are some more examples of this phrase.
Examples
If you want to graduate with a good degree you'll have to get your act together.
