英语阅读连接词和过渡词（学生在英语阅读时必备的指南针）

过渡词汇有助于学生的文本理解

英语阅读重在文本理解。无论为了阅读准确（reading for accuracy）还是阅读流利（reading for fluency），中小学生首先要理解文本的含义是什么。下面的过渡词汇（transitional words），可帮助学生增强文本理解。

2. Expected information: of course naturally surely;
3. Unexpected information: surprisingly amazingly;
4. Intensified information: in fact as a matter of fact;
5. Restatement: as I mentioned before in short in other words i.e. that is;
6. Example: for example for instance to illustrate such as;
7. Consequence: so therefore as a result consequently;
8. Cause/Effect: because due to thanks to on account of as a result of in view of;
9. Contrasting information: however but although even though nevertheless;
10. Order: first second then next;
11. Conclusion: in short therefore in conclusion in summary on the whole.

我的建议，英语教师可把这个指南针“送”给学生。学生阅读时有了指南针，在文本理解方面就不会迷失方向。
