2012年，卡尔从法国的大学毕业后，前往同济大学学习动力工程专业，随后加入了上海申通地铁集团和法国凯奥雷斯集团合资的上海申凯公共交通运营管理有限公司，目前担任这家公司松江有轨电车项目部运营经理，负责松江有轨电车的控制中心、安全中心、员工管理等一系列事务。
After graduating from a French university in 2012 Carl chose to go to Tongji University for further study specializing in power engineering. He joined Shanghai Keolis Public Transport Operation Management Co. LTD. a joint venture between Shanghai Shentong Metro Group and French Keolis Group.
Carl now serves as the operation manager of Songjiang Tram project department of Shanghai Keolis responsible for a series of affairs such as operation control center safety center and staff management of Songjiang Tram.

新冠肺炎疫情暴发以来，卡尔一直驻守在工作岗位。2020年，他通过自己的视角，创作了“一个法国人的上海VLOG”，不仅缓解了远在法国的家人们的担忧，还受到了网友们的广泛关注。
Since the COVID-19 outbreak Carl has been stationed at his post. In 2020 his creation of "A Frenchman’s Shanghai VLOG" not only eased the concerns of his family in France but also attracted wide attention from netizens.
2022年3月，上海疫情防控形势趋于严峻。11日晚上，卡尔把睡袋和洗漱用品搬到了办公室，加班加点部署疫情防控下的运营方案。
In March 2022 the epidemic prevention and control situation became severe. On the evening of March 11 Carl moved his sleeping bag and toiletries to his office working overtime to plan operations under the outbreak.
松江有轨电车项目有200多名一线员工，由于上海启动了重点区域网格化核酸筛查，部分员工因隔离或社区封闭状态无法出勤，一度导致线路运营出现人员紧缺。“每天我们都会统计第二天能够到岗的员工人数，根据岗位人员的班制和缺口，通过调班、补班等增援方式，调整车辆间隔，确保运营安全。”
Songjiang Tram has more than 200 front-line employees. As Shanghai launched grid nucleic acid screening in key areas some employees were unable to attend work due to isolation or community closure leading to a shortage of staff in line operation.
"Every day we will count the number of employees who can come to work the next day. According to the shift system and gap of the staff we will transfer the shift supplement the shift and other reinforcement methods or adjust the tram interval so as to ensure the safety of operation."
从一线员工岗前测温，到乘客佩戴口罩是否规范，从车站及办公环境清洁消毒的频次，到核酸测试人员进驻单位，防疫工作的每一个细节卡尔都要一一过问。
Carl asked about every detail of the epidemic prevention from the temperature measurement of front-line staff before work to whether passengers wear masks properly
from the frequency of cleaning and disinfection of stations and office environments to the arrangement of nucleic acid testers entering units.
松江有轨电车的两条线路撑起了上海市松江城区的骨干交通网络，日均客流约3万人次。直到现在，卡尔的睡袋一直放在办公室里，“我时刻准备着应对各种应急情况，我对上海有信心！”他告诉记者。
Two lines of Songjiang Tram support the backbone transportation network in Songjiang district with an average daily passenger flow of about 30 000.
Until now Carl's sleeping bag had been in his office. “I’m always ready to deal with all kinds of emergency situations I have confidence in Shanghai” he told reporter.
