那什么是宾语从句呢?

一:概念

用一个完整的句子去充当主句动词,介词的宾语,这样的句子就叫宾语从句。宾语从句的语序是陈述句语序。

二:宾语从句的引导词

That

If whether

Who whom whose which what .

When where how why how many…

三:例句:

I hear that he will be back in a week.

I don’t know if whether it will rain tomorrow.


The teacher hopes everything goes well.

She was sorry that she hadn’t finished her homework.

Teacher said that the earth goes around the sun.

3:特殊情况:

(1)只能用whether 不能用if (是否)的情况:

在带to 的不定式前面:We decided whether to walk to school

在介词的后面:I am thinking of whether we should go shopping .

引导主语从句时:Whether we will go isn’t decided.

与not 连用时:I don’t know whether or not they can come on time.

(2)只能用if 不能用whether 的情况:

if当如果讲的时候:we won’t go if it rains tonight.

用于词组even if(即使):I went on working even if I am so tired.

(3):不能省略that的情况

That 在非正式场合没有词义,一般可以省略。但是下列情况不能省:

主句和从句间有插入语:At that time I noticed for the first time that my teacher was wearing a pair of high heel shoes.

主句的动词后有两个由that 引导的宾语从句,第一个that 可以省略,第二个不能省:He said (that) you are too young to understand the matter and that he was asked not to tell you .

用所给单词的适当形式填空

1: I think he ___________(come) back soon.

Will come:主句是现在时,从句根据实际需要选择(soon),一般将来时

2:He told me his dad _____(read) the newspaper at this time yesterday.

Was reading:主句过去式,从句根据时间状语标志选择过去进行时。

3:I want to know if he ______(go ) shopping with me .

Will go: 主句是现在时态,从句根据需要用一般将来时,这里if翻译成是否,不是如果。

4:I didn’t know who ______(break) the window.

Had broken:从句的动作发生在主句之前,用了过去完成时。

5:The train is leaving now but he still hasn’t arrived yet.

Well he said he _______(come)here on time.

从句的动作在主句之后发生,用过去将来时。

总结:

当主句是过去时,宾语从句的时态一般这样用:

1:宾语从句的动作紧跟着主句的动作发生,从句用一般过去时。

2:宾语从句的动作和主句的动作同时发生,从句用过去进行时。

3:宾语从句的动作发生在主句的动作前面,从句用过去完成时。

4:宾语从句的动作发生在主句的动作之后,从句用过去将来时。
