一、Be句型的作用练习
昨天留下的练习是这样的：EXERCISE 2 Fill in the blanks to make true statements.
练习目的：理解Be句型的作用。
EXAMPLE: California is on the west (location位置) coast.
1. Washington D.C. is on the east (location表位置) coast. （阅读课文内容）
2. Chicago is a city (classification表分类). Illinois is a state. （阅读课文内容）
3. Puerto Rico is an island (classification表分类) with water all around.

4. It is 20:00 p.m./20 o'clock (time表时间）now.
5. It is sunny (weather表天气）today.

题目要求是make true statements，句子又是一般现在时，4-7题以今时今地真实情况内容作答。

（一）D. Look at this example.看示例，懂要求。
She goes to town every day. -->She went to town yesterday.
将一般现在时的句子改为一般过去时，注意谓语时态变化和时间状语变化规律。
（二）Do these in the same way. 用同样方法改写。
I. He buys a new car every year.
--> He ________ a new car last year.
2. She airs the room every day.
-->She ________ it this morning.
3. He often loses his pen.
-->He ________ his pen this morning.
4. He always listens to the news.
-->He ________ to the news yesterday.
