I knew you must have rocked the boat when mummy called out to me in a dramatic shocked tone. I instantly went to the sitting room for investigation only to find wisps of hair on the floor – this was the second time you were caught red-handed having cut your own hair.

妈妈喊我，口气激动震惊，我就知道你又闹出什么事儿了。我立刻来到客厅一看究竟，发现地上有一绺绺的头发。这是你第二次自己剪自己的头发被抓了个现形。

You yelled out "no!" and bawled and bellowed when mummy hauled you over coals and offered to cut your hair with a pair of scissors now that you loved to have your hair cut. My misgivings were that such behavior arose from something psychological but mummy said you were simply a venturesome type.

妈妈狠狠地说了你：既然你这么喜欢剪自己的头发，那就妈妈来帮你剪。你大哭着，说不。我担心你会不会有心理问题，妈妈说你只是好奇而已。
