Although fine work is an important concept of contemporary logistics many events show that enterprises should carefully consider some potential trade-offs before adopting fine ideas.More specifically fine ideas form from a particular environmental low fuel prices local or regional procurement less man-made or natural disasters.Today's environment is far from different.For example today's high oil prices have led transport companies to focus more on bulk transportation to reduce costs which do not consistent with small shipments highlighted by fine ideas.Similarly today's emphasis on global procurement which means longer and more unstable transportation is not in line with the emphasis on timely delivery of goods when needed.In addition the 2011 earthquake in Japan and the severe floods in Thailand caused a terrible supply chain disruption which runs counter to fine thought.
