还缺一件薄雪的外套

Letter from Daisy

Hello poet we are in bloom on the bluff and along the country lane

one after another in clusters.

As a matter of course we are from the Tao family.

Our aroma has seeped into autumn’s bloodstreams.

Stones and boulders catch the same scent

and band together as brothers.

I am well dressed for the wind

but still need a new coat for the snow.

End of autumn and first of winter is when I look the best.

If you should write a poem for me I would want for nothing

When you come to Nanshan Mountain

please preside over our hills and dales for a full symphony.

It’s a great place to write poetry even if it all turns out to be scribbles.

Yes I am blessed by the sky

to be a daisy not to enter any garden.

I am counting the days and eagerly await your arrival.
