The Donkey

When God created life he not only created man but also all kinds of animals including donkeys. However I do not know whether God despises donkey or god himself has too many things donkey unexpectedly only as big as a white mouse. It's hard for a donkey like this to attract attention. That's all but the donkey is the proudest creature in nature. The donkey was always eager to attract attention but for being so small he was afraid to go out of his house for fear that people would laugh at him. So the proud donkey hid in his house every day and prayed to God to grant him magic power so that he could grow up quickly.

"Good Lord! Please!" "I can hardly bear it " said the Donkey. "The leopards and lions and elephants are so big that all the animals in the forest are talking about them. But why are you so cruel to us donkeys? I was always so unimportant that I couldn't draw any attention to myself. Oh my god! If you could give me half the size of a calf I would have the power to make the leopard stop being proud and the lion stop boasting. Oh god please!

The next day the Donkey continued to pray to God. At last the donkey became impatient for he could not get an answer from God. Later the Lord learned of this and thought "Let him have a try to sober him up." So the donkey became a huge beast in the forest. However his strange voice always makes other animals uncomfortable and even gives them goose bumps.

"Ah! What the hell is that? He seems so verbose and jealous. He's a nasty fellow."

In the end the donkey was still a source of conversation. After a year the animals all read the donkey's mind. In the end stupidity gradually became synonymous with donkey.

Jealousy is not to be it will only go to your head other people to talk about after dinner.

第二天，驴子继续向上帝祷告。由于每次都得不到上帝的回答，驴子最后也开始不耐烦了。后来，上帝知道了这件事，就想：“还是让它尝试一下吧，也好让它清醒清醒。” 于是，驴子变成了森林中的庞然大物。可是，它那怪声怪气的嗓音总是让其他动物感到不舒服，甚至会起一身的鸡皮疙瘩。

“哎！那是个什么东西啊？看起来啰里啰唆的，而且嫉妒心还那么强，真是个惹人讨厌的家伙。”

最后呢，驴子仍然成了人们茶余饭后的谈资。一年之后，小动物们都把驴子的心思看透了。到最后，愚蠢就渐渐地成了驴子的代名词。
