英语在表达上与汉语有很多相似之处,但是也存在许多差异。比如在英语中要表达“错”,我们不仅要知道它的词性是名词、动词、形容词还是副词,还要了解它的同义词和近义词,以及在不同的语境下“错”的不同含义。
在日常生活中,对于以下的句子,我们通常可以做到脱口而出:

(1). an action or an opinion that is not correct or that produces a result that you did not want (言语或行为上的)错误,失误
• Don't blame yourself. We all make mistakes. 别责备自己了。是人都会犯错误。
• You must try to learn from your mistakes. 你得从所犯错误中吸取教训。
• I made the mistake of giving him my address. 我真不该把我的地址给他。
(2). a word figure etc. that is not said or written down correctly (用词或数字等上的)错误,口误,笔误

• He's the wrong person for the job. 他不适合做这项工作。

• It was his bad luck to be in the wrong place at the wrong time (= so that he got involved in trouble without intending to). 算他倒霉,在错误的时间出现在错误的地方。
(5). not morally right or honest 不道德;不义;不诚实
• This man has done nothing wrong. 这位男子没有做过不正当的事。
• It was wrong of me to get so angry. 我不应该发这么大脾气。
