妈妈：奶奶送给你一些小熊软糖和虫虫软糖。
If you eat all your vegetables
你要是把蔬菜都吃完，
you can eat them as a treat.
就可以吃它们作为小奖励。
Child: They're good!
宝宝：真好吃！
I like how chewy they are.
我很喜欢，因为很有嚼头。
They taste fruity too.
还有水果味。
中文都叫“棉花糖”，英文里，棉花软糖叫marshmallow，棉絮棉花糖叫cotton candy。
Marshmallows 棉花软糖
Child: Marshmallows are my favorite.
宝宝：我最喜欢棉花糖了。
美式英语中，marshmallow重音在第一个音节，英式英语重音在第二个音节。
Mom: Can I try one?
妈妈：我能尝尝吗？
Child: Yes.
宝宝：好的。
Mom: They taste amazing
妈妈：真好吃，
and they're light and puffy.
轻轻的、膨膨的。
Cotton Candy 棉絮棉花糖
Mom: Do you want me to buy some cotton candy for you?
妈妈：你想让我给你买点棉花糖吗？
Cotton candy是美式英语的说法，英式英语叫candy floss。
Child: Yes! It looks like cotton.
宝宝：想！它看起来像棉花一样。
Mom: Look it's so fluffy!
妈妈：看，它多么的松软！

感觉一下它是怎么在你舌头上融化的？
Child: I do!

It's very sticky
有点粘牙，
but I like it.

Pop Rocks 跳跳糖
Child: What are Pop Rocks?
宝宝：什么是跳跳糖啊？
Pop Rocks是一种用品牌名泛指某类产品的用法，是美式英语的说法，英式英语用popping candy。
Mom: They pop and fizz in your mouth.
妈妈：它们会在你嘴里爆炸，噼啪作响。
Try them and tell me what you think.
尝一尝，告诉我你觉得如何。
Child: Weird but they're kind of fun to eat.
宝宝：有点奇怪，但是吃起来挺好玩的。
Lollipops 棒棒糖
Mom: Don't run with that lollipop in your mouth!
妈妈：别叼着棒棒糖跑！
英文里没有“叼”这个动词，可以用in your mouth表达在嘴里的状态。
Child: Why?
宝宝：为什么呀？
I'm about to finish it!
我马上就吃完了！
Mom: If you fall
妈妈：你要是摔倒了，
the lollipop stick could hurt you!
棒棒糖的棍儿会扎到你的。
将扎直译为poke也是可以的，但是hurt在这里更常用。
Stop running and bring it to me.
别跑了，把它给我。
Child: Okay.
宝宝：好的。
Bubblegum 泡泡糖
Child: Can you show me how to blow bubbles with bubblegum?
宝宝：你能教我怎么用泡泡糖吹泡泡吗？
Mom: Sure.
妈妈：当然。
You use your tongue to flatten it a little.
用舌头把它弄平点儿。
Then you place it on the back of your front teeth
然后把它放到前牙后面，
and then you blow air into it.
然后往里面吹气。
See?
看明白了吗？
Child: I can't do it.
宝宝：我吹不起来。
Mom: It takes time
妈妈：多练练就好了，
but you'll get the hang of it.

When it loses its flavor
什么时候它要是没味了，
or you're tired of chewing it
或者你不愿意嚼了，
Make sure to spit it out
一定要把它吐掉，
and throw it away in a trashcan.
把它扔到垃圾桶里。
