最近,在上海市闵行区的一家健身工作室里健身的一位老奶奶在网上走红。这位满头银发、精神抖擞的老奶奶十分引人注目,她熟练地在不同的器械和健身项目间转换,她就是68岁的健身达人陈继芳。

陈继芳是上海本地人,退休前是一名食品店店员。在上海日报的报道中陈奶奶提到了自己健身前的身体状态,曾经的她健康状况差,情绪也常有低落。
“My health went downhill after I gave birth to my daughter ” she said. “I would say I was constantly living between life and death and always in low spirits.”

她很喜欢打羽毛球,直到膝盖问题迫使她放弃比赛。由于缺乏锻炼,她开始体重增加。
2018年在一次小区的体检中,陈继芳发现自己身体上出现了脂肪肝、高血压等症状,这给陈继芳敲响了健康的警钟。
于是陈奶奶开始锻炼身体。为了改善体质,2018年12月29日,她鼓起勇气第一次走进几乎都是年轻人的健身房。

刘路遥(音译)是一名30岁的退伍军人,现已做了十年的健身教练,把陈奶奶带上了健身的道路。他说,60岁以上的老人在健身房是很少见的。
“She looked unhealthy physically when I first met her ” he said. “Badly injured knees and knee pains and weak kinetic ability.”
“我第一次见她的时候她的体态很不健康”,他说道,“她的膝盖受损和膝关节疼痛很严重,运动力量很薄弱。”
2019年全年,她每天都来健身房锻炼身体,在健身教练的指导下,她的身体状况逐渐好转。
后来,她开始挑战有难度的器械运动,3个月的训练让她减脂28斤,再去体检时,身体各项指标基本恢复正常。
“I lost 5 kilos after the first month and after three months I was a changed person ” Chen said. “People often admire me as if I had to endure something terrible to look like this now. But I enjoyed every minute.”
陈继芳说:“第一个月后我减掉了5公斤,三个月后我焕然一新。“人们常常敬佩我,好像我不得不忍受一些可怕的事情才能变成现在这样。但其实我享受健身的每一分钟。”
通过坚持不懈的锻炼,陈奶奶收获了健康的身体,于是慢慢地,她也越来越想把自己的经历分享出去。
在今年疫情期间,她和健身房的教练们一起参与抖音直播教学。
面对直播镜头,只见陈奶奶潇洒的一个招手动作,便带着网友“走进”健身房,“观摩”她举壶铃、压腿、练健腹轮、热浪战绳等熟练的“十八般武艺”,一招一式看上去都颇为“专业”。
陈奶奶在抖音直播间的网名叫“夜明珠”, 她希望能够像一颗夜里的明珠一样,照亮自己,也照亮别人。如今,她已经是新晋网红健身达人了,抖音账号已有40.9万粉丝。
前段时间,陈奶奶还参加了央视综艺节目《越战越勇》,赢得了观众阵阵掌声,鼓励了更多人参与到健身的队伍中。
“My fellow retirees usually would rather take part in ‘commercial events’ where they can get dozens of eggs for free than invest in their health ” she said.
她说:“我们的退休朋友通常宁愿参加可以领几十个鸡蛋的‘商业活动’,也不愿把钱投资于他们的健康。”
“They have yet to understand that money spent in improving physical fitness could eventually pay off in fewer hospital bills.”
“他们还没有明白钱的含义,花些钱来改善身体健康,就可以花更少的钱在医院里。”
