这里的难点有三个：一是bring something to the fore的理解和翻译，二是porcelain throne的理解和翻译，三是整个句子的传神再现。
美国词典McGraw-Hill Dictionary of American Idioms and Phrasal Verbs给出了bring something to the fore的如下释义：
Bring something to the fore: to make something more prominent or noticeable（使某件事情更突出或更引人注目）。
The Free Dictionary给出了throne的如下释义：
Throne: (slang) the toilet（座便器；厕所）。
试译：这次飞行带来了一个困扰所有宇航员同时也引发所有观众好奇心的突出问题——宇航员在没有重力的情况下怎样小便和大便。这可不像坐在瓷质座便器上，一边看报纸，一边解决问题。
这里的“一边看报纸，一边解决问题”就非常传神。
